the Clash of Clans game comes with a premium currency system. With other words, by using real money you can get Gems, which are used to build instantly a structure or to train a troop, also instantly. However, many players will decide that they don’t want to spend real money on this game. This is why you should *NOT* spend any gems that you get for free (or by completing achievements) on those kind of “instant” things that will most likely let you without workers.
Instead of spending gems on those kinds of useless things, we suggest you to keep the gems and use them to buy Builder’s Huts. Each Builder’s Hut comes with a worker, which is used to upgrade or build a structure. With other words, if you have 3 Builder’s Huts, you will be able to build 3 structures at a time.
You have a total of five Builders Huts as follows:

The second one costs 250 Gems
The second one costs 250 Gems
The third one costs 500 Gems
The forth one costs 1000 Gems
The fifth one costs 2000 Gems.

Going offensively or defensively
You can either play offensively or defensively in Clash of Clans. If you plan on going defensively, you should focus on upgrading the defensive structures, such as Walls, Mortars, Cannons and Archer Towers. One of the most important defensive structures at low level is the Mortar, because it can deal area of effect damage. This is great by bringing down a big amount of troops if they stack up. After that, you will start upgrading your production building such as gold mines or elixir collectors.
If you plan on going offensively, you can upgrade your Barracks, Army Camps and Laboratory. You will want to upgrade Barracks as you will unlock different kinds of troops. At the same time, by upgrading Army Camps you will be able to have more troops at once and by upgrading Laboratory you will be able to upgrade your troops, giving them more damage, defense and health points.
Getting a free shield
If you plan on being an offensive player, your defensive structures will not be so effective. This is why you will want to activate this free shield before you go offline. To activate this “free” shield, you will have to lure a player that is trying to get easy Trophies. You will place the Town Hall outside of the walls, somewhere unprotected, so that a player who wants to get some easy trophies will notice it and will most likely send only one troop to steal some trophies from you. Shortly after he will destroy your Town Hall, he will most likely leave your village alone, as he will not want to waste troops for a few more trophies. When your Town Hall is destroyed, you will get a 12 hours shield. After all, a few trophies are good enough for 12 hours shield, to keep your resources safe.
Joining a Clan
Once you start understanding the game pretty well, you can start rebuilding your Clan Castle and search for a Clan. After you join a Clan, you will be able to fight with other Clans in the Clan Wars. If you win, you and your Clan mates will get a good amount of resources. Of course, in order to succeed, you will need to communicate regularly with your clan mates.
At the same time, you will be able to contribute with troops in your clan mates to fill up the Clan Castle of a member from your Clan. Once that clan member is attacked, all the troops inside the Clan Castle will get out and fight to protect the village.
How to effectively use the Jump Spell
The jump Spell is one of the most over powered spells in Clash of Clans. By using this spell, the troops will be able to JUMP over the walls, so they will not waste time on taking the walls die to get inside the village. This spell works very well when you have a good amount of archers, wizards, goblins or barbarians. Keep in mind that the jump will not affect the air troops.
